Video Guidelines

What Type of Footage to Send:It is important you thoroughly read the video instructions so that we can produce the best video possible for you...

Acceptable formats: DVD (.MPG, .MPEG, .MOV, .WMV), YouSendIt files, USB
Unacceptable formats: .AVI, Windows Movie Maker, MP4 (ITunes), VRO.Movie, CD, VHS, HI-8, Mini DV Tape.
Always test your DVD on your computer AND a DVD player to be sure it plays.

How to Film:
Be sure to film all of the players on the field, not just the featured player. Give a wide enough angle so the coach can watch the entire play develop. A tripod is highly recommended. Shoot from an elevated location, with a clean line of sight. The camera view should not be obstructed. Do not zoom in and out

What ASVP will do with your Video:
Inform you when we receive your video via email. If the footage does not follow the guidelines ASVP will mail it back to the address from which is was received. Otherwise, your footage will not be returned.
Evaluate up to 40 logged plays you send in.
Select 20-40 of your best plays.
Edit the footage in to a 2-3 minute highlight.
Upload your footage to youtube, gridironstuds and any other online sports video site.
Inform you when your video is complete!
The highlight video for your ASVP Recruiting Profile is meant to attract initial interest and allow for initial evaluation. Coaches may still want to see you compete in person or view unedited video to fully evaluate your abilities.
